We are looking for an Operational Risk Officer to join our team at Eurolife FFH General Insurance. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaing and evolving the operational risk management framework within the organization. This role ensures that risks arising from internal processes, systems, people, and external events are identified, assessed, monitored, and mitigated in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and operational risk scenario analyses.
- Identify emerging risks and evaluate their impact on business operations.
- Track Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and operational risk events.
- Prepare regular and ad-hoc risk reports for senior management and the Board.
- Maintain and update the Operational Risk Management Framework and related policies.
- Develop and test the Business Continuity Plan annually.
- Assess and monitor risks related to outsourced activities and third-party providers.
- Review critical outsourcing agreements and ensure compliance with internal standards.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Solvency II, GDPR).
- Participate in risk-related committees and contribute to strategic risk decisions.
- Recommend and implement mitigation strategies for risks exceeding approved limits.
- Support contingency planning and crisis management protocols.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 5 years in operational risk management within insurance or financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and reporting systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
