About the company

A leading life insurance company in Greece, with a strong market position, solid capital base, and consistent growth trajectory, is seeking an Investment Operations Officer to strengthen its Finance Department. Purpose of the role

To support the day-to-day operations of the investment function, ensuring the accurate recording of transactions, timely valuation calculations, and precise reporting for management and external stakeholders. The role requires a high level of attention to detail and strict adherence to deadlines, as valuations and reports are produced daily under committed timelines

Key responsibilities

  • Record investment transactions (purchases, sales, corporate actions, and cash movements) in the investment management system.
  • Perform and validate daily calculations of mutual fund prices and other investment products.
  • Reconcile and monitor portfolios across internal and external systems.
  • Liaise with custodians regarding the processing and confirmation of transactions, corporate actions, and account reconciliations.
  • Monitor outstanding items and resolve discrepancies arising from transactions or portfolio reconciliations.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc investment reports.
  • Support internal control and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Accounting, Risk Management, and Investment Management teams.

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant working experience
  • Very good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Data analysis skills and exceptional attention to detail. Accuracy in transaction processing, valuations, and reconciliations is a critical success factor for the role.
  • Strong organizational skills and consistent adherence to deadlines and timelines (daily, monthly, and regulatory).
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
