We are looking for a Tax Accountant to join our Eurolife FFH team.
Role Responsibilities
As a Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Assist in preparing tax returns and filings for all operating entities (corporate income, withholding taxes, VAT, premium taxes, digital transaction duties, premium taxes and property taxes).
- End-to-end assistance with myDATA compliance and operations.
- Assist in the preparation of income tax provisions, deferred tax calculations and disclosures for financial statements.
- Support tax planning activities and participate in process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in tax compliance.
- Processing financial information and post daily journal entries into the accounting system with efficiency and accuracy.
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial closing process.
- Assisting in the preparation of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements.
- Support audits by compiling documentation and liaising with auditors under guidance from senior team members.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Relevant work experience of 2 - 3 years with a focus on corporate tax compliance, ideally within an insurance company.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or similar. Master’s degree is desirable but not mandatory.
- Good knowledge of accounting, local tax laws and regulations.
- Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills both in Greek and English.
- Results oriented and able to deliver under pressure to short deadlines, while coping with changing priorities.
- Ability to be both a team player and work independently.
