Information Solutions - Senior Developer/Development Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes crucial for integrating our various external applications. You will work closely with different teams to ensure seamless data flow and contribute significantly to our data integration strategy. This role will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver complex integrations.

Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL processes, including data integration from diverse sources such as files and APIs.
• Implement and optimize data jobs using Python and PL/SQL.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and other IT teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications and robust data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across all integrated systems.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering best practices and standards.
• Work with various database technologies, including Microsoft SQL Server (MS DB), Oracle, and PostgreSQL, to ensure effective data management and integration.

Requirements
• Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a strong focus on ETL development and data integration.
• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation.
• Extensive experience with PL/SQL for database programming and optimization.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and database design
• Experience as a team leader will be considered an Asset.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Skills:
• Experience in Banking or Financial Services area.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS services relevant to data engineering (e.g., S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, Redshift).
