About the role

The Host/Hostess is the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome, smooth seating, and an exceptional front-of-house experience. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage guest relations efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and create a positive first impression.
  • Manage reservations, incoming calls, and emails through the reservation system.
  • Communicate with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, responding to complaints and providing solutions as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and order in the front-of-house area.
  • Greet and farewell guests upon departure, ensuring a memorable experience.
  • Produce and send letters of confirmation for reservations.
  • Assist with seating arrangements, special requests, and guest inquiries.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding guest experiences and service improvements.
  • Perform any additional duties as required by the F&B or Front Office department. 

 

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position within a 5* hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Excellent command of English; additional foreign languages are an asset.
  • Comfortable with technology and reservation systems.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance, friendly demeanor, and service-oriented attitude.
  • Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management is a plus.
