Accountant
Scope of role: Support the Accounting Operations for a Group of 5 properties to ensure accurate, timely and consistent bookkeeping in accordance with policies and procedures, and local statutory and tax regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Post bank and accounting transactions and perform monthly reconciliations
· Maintain the general ledger under the guidance of senior finance management
· Prepare account reconciliations and support month-end and year-end closing
· Assist with tax audits and provide documentation to external auditors
· Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and local statutory and tax requirements
· Prepare financial reports and provide data and analysis to management
· Contribute to the improvement of accounting systems, processes, and procedures
· Maintain a hands-on role in daily accounting activities, including GL postings
Qualifications:
· University degree in Finance/Accounting or a related field
· Have 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in hospitality
· Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and local statutory and tax regulations
· Highly proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
· Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
· Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Work well independently and as part of a team
