Role Description
The IT Systems Engineer will be involved in the day-to-day operation and support of the company’s internal IT infrastructure, combining user support, incident handling, system administration, and infrastructure operations.
The role will act as a key point of contact for technical support to internal users, while also contributing to the management of corporate systems, Microsoft 365 services, Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualized infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1st/2nd level support to internal users on workplace issues, endpoints, access, Microsoft 365 services, printers, and corporate applications.
- Manage, monitor, and resolve requests through ticketing / IT service management tools such as Desk365 or similar platforms.
- Support and administer Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policies, user accounts, access rights, and core infrastructure services.
- Support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
- Manage file services, shared folders, NTFS permissions, and printer services.
- Support and administer SFTP / FTPS servers.
- Troubleshoot Windows endpoints, peripheral equipment, and enterprise user environments.
- Participate in monitoring, patching, and core operational activities, including IT asset inventory.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and external partners to resolve complex technical issues.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, user guides, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in roles such as IT Support Engineer, System Engineer, IT Administrator, or Infrastructure Support Engineer.
- Experience in user support / helpdesk operations within a corporate environment, including workstation support.
- Hands-on experience with ticketing tools and understanding of basic ITSM processes.
- Good knowledge of hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, etc.), Windows OS, and Windows Server OS.
- Solid knowledge of Active Directory, user/group administration, Group Policies, and access management.
- Experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience with SFTP / FTPS servers.
- Understanding of core networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Understanding of basic security concepts such as MFA, conditional access, DLP, and privileged access.
- Good command of English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical users.
Will be considered a plus
- Knowledge of PowerShell or basic automation.
- Experience with Intune or other endpoint management tools..
- Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Microsoft certifications.
- Experience in regulated, enterprise, or mission-critical environments.
