Role Description
As an internal attorney at law you'll be crucial in protecting and fostering the Company’s legal rights. You will be part of our internal Legal Department, supporting and cooperating with the Legal Counsel for the immediate and proper handling of the Company's legal issues as well as representing the Company and participating in business deals by negotiating, modifying, and executing the related legal documents as a Company attorney.
Responsibilities
- Provide advice and manage legal corporate processes to ensure compliance with applicable legislation.
- Assist in the development of corporate policies and procedures on legal issues.
- Participate in the drafting and revision of contracts, minutes of the Committees and other legal documents.
- Monitor the updates on the legal/regulatory frameworks in Greece and Europe regarding the respective business activities (financial sector, electronic payments, technology) and prepare relevant reports for the Management and the Legal Advisor.
- Prepares and processes from a legal point of view the matters introduced for discussion in the Committees and ensures that the publicity formalities required by law are observed.
- Represent the Company in legal proceedings (administrative committees, etc.).
- Communicate with counterparties in negotiations, witnesses, etc.
- Appear and represent the Company in courts and other competent authorities, prepare and file documents to defend the legal interests of the Company, communicate with lawyers, bailiffs, experts, etc. in the context of legal or administrative disputes of the Company.
- Negotiate agreements and attend corporate meetings.
- Respond to legal questions of the Company's various units.
- Take administrative actions to protect corporate rights and interests (registering trademarks, intellectual and industrial property rights, etc.).
- Manage and process any other matter of legal nature assigned to him by the Legal Counsel.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law with specialization preferably in Corporate, Commercial and Contract Law.
- Minimum of 5 years of legal experience with proven record in commercial law, company law, corporate governance and regulatory issues.
- Desired experience in providing legal services to a company in the financial sector and/or technology sector.
- Strong previous theoretical and practical expertise in personal data law.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English, good knowledge of a second foreign language is desirable.
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience in the provision of legal consulting services will be positively valued.
- Valid Bar Association license.
