About the Role

As our Cyber security Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and enhancing our Information Security Program. You’ll collaborate across teams to create a secure and resilient IT environment, ensuring compliance with key regulations and staying ahead of emerging threats. Reporting directly to the CIO and CEO, this high-impact role offers visibility, autonomy, and the chance to shape our cyber security strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units to embed security best practices and elevate the Information Security Program.
• Develop and implement security policies, standards, procedures, and controls that align with regulatory frameworks such as GDPR and NIS-2.
• Foster a security-conscious culture through training, education, and engagement initiatives.
• Oversee penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and security testing to identify and remediate risks proactively.
• Evaluate and recommend cutting-edge security tools and solutions to strengthen defenses.
• Investigate security incidents, derive actionable insights, and ensure lessons learned improve future resilience.
• Analyze logs and events to detect anomalies and ensure continuous security monitoring.
• Stay abreast of the latest threats, technologies, and best practices, sharing insights with the broader team.
• Assess application configurations, advise on security issues, and maintain alignment with external SOC teams.
• Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all activities.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber security, or related field.
• Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, security systems, and tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, encryption, risk assessments, and compliance audits.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working across diverse teams.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a customer-focused approach.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with the C programming language (nice to have)
