attica department stores is currently in search of an experienced and skilled Procurement Officer to join our Technical Services Department in Athens.

Role Purpose: 

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality, compliance, and supplier performance. The role supports business operations by identifying reliable suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with internal procedures, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Conduct market research and identify suitable suppliers and materials.
  • Prepare comparative procurement tables and evaluate technical and financial offers.
  • Participate in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing the technical and financial terms of supply contracts.
  • Define material quality specifications and prepare purchase orders and supplementary agreements.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial and technical offers.
  • Update and manage the supplier evaluation registry.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure the selection of appropriate materials.
  • Enter and manage purchase orders through the ERP system.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to timelines from order placement to material delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, company standards, and procurement policies.

Skills/Experience required: 

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar position within a Procurement Department.
  • Excellent command of MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of ERP SAP will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow established company procedures and standards.
