attica department stores is currently in search of a Payroll Specialist to join our HR Department for our central offices in Athens.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process the monthly payroll accurately and on time.
- Collect, review, validate and input payroll-related data.
- Calculate salaries, overtime, bonuses, leave and other employee benefits.
- Monitor and verify employee attendance, absences and personnel changes.
- Prepare, submit and monitor all required payroll-related declarations and obligations towards the relevant authorities.
- Monitor developments in Greek labor, social security and tax legislation and ensure their accurate implementation in payroll processes.
- Prepare payroll reports and perform payroll reconciliations and controls.
- Collaborate closely with HR, Finance and external payroll partners on payroll-related matters.
- Respond to and resolve employees’ payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive payroll and employee information.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required:
- 3–5 years of experience in a Payroll position.
- Previous experience with payroll software and/or ERP systems.
- Experience with SAP and SCAN HRMS payroll software by EPSILON or other specialized payroll systems will be considered a plus.
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of Greek labor, social security and tax legislation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Good command of the English language.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field will be considered a plus.
- Previous experience in a large-scale workforce environment will be considered a plus.
