We are looking for a highly skilled Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to join our projects in Crete.

The Role: The SSHO will oversee and enforce Health & Safety standards.  

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, 29 CFR 1926.16
• Conduct inspections
• Perform training safety orientation trainings and on site trainings to employees and subcontractors
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems.
• Lead a safety oversight team
• Implement and administer the Contractor’s safety program and Prevention plan
• Conduct daily safety inspections
• Prepare and submit safety reports and checklists for the pre-construction meeting and monthly for the payment certifications to management and clients as required.
• Maintain accurate safety records including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation.
• Ιnvestigate and report accidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; implement corrective actions.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the construction industry
• Excellent leadership and problem solving skills
• Experience with US Military Projects will be considered as a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Must be authorized to work legally in Greece
