We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our subsidiary Aktor Equity Participations.
The AKTOR Group controls the financially healthiest and one of the strongest portfolios of PPP (Public-Private Partnership) and Concession projects in Greece, aiming to diversify its revenue and create value for its shareholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with Greek Accounting Standards and IFRS
- Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Prepare statutory financial statements and management reporting packs
- Support accounting treatment for concession and PPP projects
- Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts, fixed assets, bank accounts, and intercompany transactions
- Perform MyDATA reconciliation, ensuring correct classification and timely submission of invoices and accounting data in accordance with Greek requirements
- Assist in the preparation of financial information required for lenders, stakeholders, and public authorities where applicable
- Support external auditors and regulatory audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring processes
- Contribute to the improvement of internal controls, reporting procedures and accounting processes
- Ensure compliance with Greek tax legislation, including VAT reporting and other statutory obligations
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in infrastructure, construction, energy, concessions, PPP project, or audit firms handling similar clients
- Greek Accountant License Class A is a prerequisite
- Strong knowledge of Greek accounting and tax legislation
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in IFRS reporting standards
- Experience in handling complex corporate/project structures (SPVs, consortiums, long-term contracts) will be considered a strong asset
- Strong command of ERP systems (preferably SAP) and excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under strict deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Greek language
