Health, Safety & Quality Officer
The H&S and Quality Officer is responsible for supporting the implementation of safety protocols, regulatory compliance, and quality management systems. This dual-role position is essential to ensuring the health and safety of our workforce while maintaining the highest standards in quality and regulatory compliance. The role may be located at company’s manufacturing site in Larissa, Greece.
Key responsibilities - main job duties include the following:
Health & Safety:
- Develop, implement, and monitor workplace safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and international regulations (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Conduct regular specific topic H&S and quality audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a culture of safety through training, awareness campaigns, and employee engagement.
- Assists in responding to and investigating concerns/complaints from workers/employers and assists in taking appropriate action.
- Assists in investigating accidents or injuries that occur in the workplace.
- Assists in carrying out industrial hygiene surveys.
Quality:
- Support the development and maintenance of the Rontis Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) in compliance with applicable Regulations and standards .
- Conduct periodic internal audits of workplaces and takes necessary action to ensure compliance in cooperation with HSQE & Compliance Manager.
- Participate in external audits; assist in CAPA plan establishment, investigation and follow-up.
- Participation in the risk management team
- Participate in the preparation and/ or review of SOPs, Procedures, work instructions and relevant documents.
- Participate in change control forms issuance and follow up in cooperation with Compliance Manager.
- Interact closely with all company’s departments concerning health and safety elements.
Requirements - Candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in the wider compliance or regulatory field Prior experience in the wider pharmaceutical or medical device field will be considered a plus, specifically in HSQ and compliance-related roles
- Certification of Auditor skills would be considered as an asset
- Solid knowledge and understanding of ISO standards, GMP, relevant Regulations and compliance requirements
- Proven experience conducting audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Strong problem-solving, investigative, and analytical skills
- Capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines in a high-compliance environment
- Strong skills in organization, prioritization, and planning
- Excellent communication abilities, in both Greek & English language.
