Position Purpose
The Junior Art Director is a key member of the DDB creative team, actively supporting the development and execution of visual concepts for communication campaigns. The role works closely with Art Directors, Senior Art Directors, and Copywriters to develop inspiring and effective creative solutions that align with clients' strategic and communication objectives.
The role requires creativity, strong collaboration skills, sound aesthetic judgment, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Contributes to the creation and development of visual concepts for ATL, BTL, and digital campaigns.
- Collaborates closely with Art Directors, Senior Art Directors, and Copywriters to develop and produce creative content.
- Executes graphic design work based on approved creative concepts and direction.
- Develops and adapts creative assets to the appropriate formats and media, in accordance with brand guidelines.
- Contributes to brainstorming sessions and the generation and development of creative ideas.
- Participates in internal creative presentations and reviews.
- Supports the creative team throughout different stages of the development and production process.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensures that all deliverables are consistent with the creative direction and the client's brand guidelines, as well as the guidance provided by senior team members.
- Meets deadlines and coordinates effectively with Production and Client Service teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Receives, understands, and effectively implements feedback from Art Directors, Senior Art Directors, and Creative Directors.
- Keeps up to date with design trends and explores new techniques, tools, and creative approaches.
- Understands and applies the technical specifications and requirements of different media, platforms, and formats.
- Maintains a high standard of visual quality and consistency across all assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
Technical Qualifications
- Degree or studies in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Digital Media, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in an advertising agency, design studio, or similar creative environment.
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Knowledge of motion design and animation tools.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative thinking, visual design skills, and well-executed applications across digital and print.
- Ability to use a range of AI-powered creative platforms and tools.
- Knowledge of design applications and creative solutions for physical environments, spaces, and objects.
